The Frederick Dixieland Express

In 2000, several members of The Frederick Symphony Orchestra
- augmented by other local area musicians - formed a Dixieland
style jazz band, “The Frederick Dixieland Express.”
The group has performed at many nursing and retirement homes and has provided
entertainment for the Frederick Historical Society, the opening game of Frederick
Little League Baseball, Fourth of July festivities in Baker Park, the C. Burr
Artz Library Terrace, “First Saturday” events in Frederick, private parties,
and at various political rallies.
Current members include:

Mort Reitman — Clarinet
George Smith — Banjo / Vocals
Stan Skopek — Piano
Greg Williams / Doug Bradshaw / Rich Brown — Drums
The Frederick Dixieland Express is available for hire.
All funds raised are donated to The Frederick Symphony Orchestra.
